Other Community Devotions

Daily Oblation for the Spread of the Catholic Faith O Jesus, through the intercession of Mary, Your Immaculate Mother, we offer You our lives, our works and our prayers of this day for the salvation of souls.  We make this offering especially for a miracle of grace:  that our Catholic people in Canada and in the whole world, adults as well as children, will come to know ther Father again, what it means ot be aCatholic, to live a Catholic life.  We ask this through the intercession of your humble servants, Father Lloyd Ryan and Mother Mary Josephine Mulligan.  Amen.

Daily Pray to the Holy Spirit Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.  Send forth Thy Spirit, O Lord, and they shall be created.  And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.  Let us pray:  O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit, didst instruct the hearts of Thy faithful, grants that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation.  Through the same Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Daily Prayer to St. Joseph
Remember, O St. Joseph, loving and powerful protector, that according tot he testimony of your faithful servant, great St. Teresa, no one who is truly devoted to you has seen his petition rejected.  Filled with confidence and hope I come to you, worthy Spouse of Mary Immaculate.  Do not close your ears to my prayer, you who have the glorious title of Father of Jesus, but hear it and present it for me to Him who has vouchsafed to be called your Son. St. Joseph, pray for us.

The Angelus   The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit. Hail Mary ...  Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word. Hail Mary . . . And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us. Hail Mary . . . Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen. 

Daily Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirit who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen. 

The Infant Jesus On the 16th to the 24th of each month we honour the Divine Infant Jesus in a  novena and procession with His statue, asking Him to bless the Church and our religious community in particular with vocations.

Divine Providence The devotion to Divine Providence is a devotion that was passed on to us from the community of our Foundress, the Grey Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of Pembroke.  We daily pray the Litany of Divine Providence as a community.

Litany of Divine Providence

Let us invoke Divine Providence with loving confidence, returing thanks for all the
benefits we have received, and making known all our needs.

Divine Providence, You are the Creator and Ruler of all things.
Divine Providence, You alone are the Author of all wonderful works.
Divine Providence, You are infinitely good and infinitely great.
Divine Providence, You have given us life, you preserve and govern us.
Divine Providence, You are our salvation and our only hope.
Divine Providence, You are the source of all good.
Divine Providence, You are all powerful.
Divine Providence, You are our glory and our hope.
Divine Providence, You are the consolation of the afflicted.

O Lord, there is none like You, none can work the marvels that You do; Your eyes are always turned upon the just, and upon those who hope in Your mercy.

V. As a father's compassion for His children; so is the mercy of the Lord towards those who fear Him.
R. Because He knows the frailty of our nature.

Let Us Pray:  O God, whose Providence disposes of all things, vouchsafe to turn aside from us all that would be injurious, and to grant us all that would be to our advantage.  We most humbly beg this of You.  Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit world without end.  Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus We strive to love and honour the Sacred Heart of Jesus by adoring It in the Most Blessed Sacrament.  In hymns at our Holy Hour we sing to the honour of His Sacred Heart.

Divine Mercy Chaplet We often pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet during our Holy Hour, to ask God to pour out His mercy upon the world.

Seasonal Novenas We pray novenas to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Anne, St. Therese of Lisieux and other novenas in preparation for the great feasts of the Church and the feasts of our community.
